X440 Series

The Extreme Networks® Summit® X440 series switches extend the intelligence and resiliency of the ExtremeXOS® network operating system to the converged access edge, enabling fine grained Quality of Service (QoS), stacking, high availability features and identity aware security in a compact, cost effective switch. Standards-based PoE/PoE+ support (802.3af / 802.3at) allows the Summit X440 series to support the large-scale rollout of converged network devices such as IP telephones, wireless access points as well as physical security devices such as video cameras. With high density, low latency, line rate 10/100/1000 Ethernet, dedicated 10 Gbps stacking ports, available redundant power supplies, hardware-based IP support (IPv4 and IPv6) and rich Layer 2 to Layer 4 functionality in a compact, 1RU form factor, the Summit X440 also provides effective enterprise class network access.

Summit X460-G2 Series

The Summit® X460-G2 series is based on Extreme Networks® revolutionary ExtremeXOS®, a highly resilient OS that provides continuous uptime, manageability and operational efficiency. Each switch offers the same high-performance, nonblocking hardware technology, in the Extreme Networks tradition of simplifying network deployments through the use of common hardware and software throughout the network. The Summit X460-G2 switches are effective campus edge switches that support Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE – IEEE 802.3az) with IEEE 802.3at PoE-plus and can also serve as aggregation switches for traditional enterprise networks. The Summit X460-G2 series is also an option for DSLAM or CMTS aggregation, or for active Ethernet access. The Summit X460-G2 can also be used as a top-of-rack switch for many data center environments with features such as high-density Gigabit Ethernet for concentrated data center environments; XNV™ (ExtremeXOS Network Virtualization) for centralized network-based Virtual Machine (VM) inventory, VM location history and VM provisioning; Direct Attach™ to offload VM switching from servers, thereby improving performance; high-capacity Layer 2/Layer 3 scalability for highly virtualized data centers; and intra-rack and cross-rack stacking with industry-leading flexibility.

X-430 Series

The Extreme Networks Summit X430 series Gigabit Ethernet standalone switches provide network edge connectivity for enterprises, branch offices, and small and medium-sized businesses. Summit X430 series are available in 28- or 52-port 10/100/1000 Mpps port models 8 or 24 port 10/100/1000 Mpps IEEE 802.3at PoE models and are ideal for network convergence of Unified Communications, wireless mobility, streaming media and multicast traffic on a single open fabric edge network. The Summit X430 leverages a compact 1RU and 10-inch deep form factor, along with a low volume operating mode that makes it ideal for open office and wiring closet environments. Summit X430 series switches support up to 4 fixed front panel 100/1000BASE-X (SFP) unpopulated ports (two SFP ports on the 8 port PoE+ switch) that can be utilized for high-speed backbone or link aggregation connections between wiring closets. Summit X430 series simplifies network operation by using the ExtremeXOS, a modular operating system (OS) that spans all Extreme Networks Summit and BlackDiamond Ethernet switches. Powered by ExtremeXOS, the Summit X430 series enables organizations to build highly resilient and secure edge networks that support high network uptime, simplified management, increased operational efficiency with low total cost of ownership. The Summit X430 provides exceptional Policy-based QoS with advanced traffic management for converged applications. With eight hardware queues per port to support granular (8kbps-1Mbps) traffic classification, the Summit X430 provides flexible yet reliable solution for converged data, voice and video traffic.

ٍُSeries X-480

The Summit X480 series switch is a versatile, high-end Ethernet switch for data center, enterprise aggregation, and Carrier Ethernet deployments. Summit X480 helps optimize application performance for a variety of network deployments with its rich features and high scalability. Summit X480 provides high density for Gigabit Ethernet in a small 1RU form factor for up to 48 ports in one system and 384 ports in a stacked system using backward compatible SummitStack™, highspeed SummitStack128 running at 128 gigabits per second, SummitStack-V, which utilizes 10 GbE ports as stacking ports, enabling the use of standard cabling and optics technologies used for 10 GbE, SummitStack V80, V160, or V320for 80 Gbps, 160 Gbps, or 320 Gbps of stacking bandwidth using standard cabling and optics for 40 GbE Summit X480 also offers 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for up to eighteen ports in one system and 80 ports in a stacked system using QSFP+ to SFP+ breakout cables. For emerging demands from voice/data convergence and storage, Summit X480 provides highly scalable Layer 2/3 switching and MPLS/HVPLS by supporting up to 512K Layer 2 MAC addresses or 512K IPv4 Longest Prefix Match routing tables.

Series X-770

Summit X770 provides high density for 40 Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet switching in a small 1RU form factor. With its versatile design, the Summit X770 series provides high density Layer 2/3 switching with low latency cut-through switching, and IPv4 and IPv6 unicast and multicast routing to enable enterprise aggregation and core backbone deployment in AC-powered and DC-powered environments.
